Voting open for Cork's best song

Postby zanny » 29 Nov 2019, 07:35

There's a competition for Cork's best song, run by Cork city libraries. The song must be about Cork, or written by a singer/songwriter who is from or based in Cork. Details and how to vote are in these links:

https://www.corkbeo.ie/culture/music-ni ... t-17329990

''Going to My Hometown" would seem to meet both conditions:
Rory was from Cork and the song refers to getting a job from Henry Ford.
Ford Motors had a big manufacturing plant in Cork for many years.
