Tie Your Mother Down

I already knew this (Well, I'm one of the Rory obsessed) but, in case you did not know, and in light of the movie out this month, here's an article where Brian May gives credit where credit is due:

Sort of inspired? Definitely inspired-

Good on you Brian May for mentioning Rory.:0)
I will see the new Queen film on DVD. I suffocate in corporate cinemas. Awful places. Subrata.x

My wife is a Queen fan - not me so much.....
We tried to go to the movie last week, but every show sold out.

I mentioned how Brian May admired Rory.
Of course she looked at me and rolled eyes (as she usually does when I talk about Rory!)

But I sent her this link with Brian talking about it - " Mr. Gallagher, how do you get your sound..."

Thanks!! ss

Not a Queen fan ,always thought them a bit too theatrical although i can remember them being underground in their early years and very good ,Saying this the other day Planet Rock played All Right Now by Queen and Paul Rodgers ,absolutely fantastic.I do have a cd of the BBC2 tribute to Rory with the late great Gary Moore where Brian May tells of being influenced by Rory, also Johnny Marr of The Smiths (not my cup of tea)

Agreed about Johnny Marr - but he was given the honor to play Rory's Strat.

How about Joe Bonamassa?

I know he covered this on his first album (opening track)
But I just got goosebumps listening to this!!!!

Thanks!! ss
