Is there a song that is your least favourite?

Postby heatison » 12 Oct 2014, 19:08

I know that you are all great Rory fans, but I was wondering if there is a song that you really don't like.
For me it's moonchild. I'm not sure why but it makes me cringe every time I hear it.
I know that most of you will not agree with me, but it only my opinion and it would be a dull place if we all liked the same things.

Oh no Heatison, never MOONCHILD!

That would be defo in my top 10 Rory tunes and I'm sure 100's of thousands of other Rory fans too :)

It is a beautiful ROCK LOVE SONG :) Barry Barnes from the RG tribute band Sinnerboy does this one beautifully
unplugged acoustically too. Look at the lyrics please again.

I could have deleted this topic for just being so negative. Yet everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Rock On for Rory as we his fans are all Rory Moonchilds ;)

No worries Heatison. We all have our own particular opinions & feelings.
When I used to watch Rory live I used to always take my chance to go to the loo when he played Brute Force & Ignorance.
Not that I don't like the tune. Just that it is one of my least favourite Rory tunes.

Yet I believe Rory himself like this tune alot?

Maybe we should edit the title of this topic?

Edit the title if you wish. But do you really think that Rory would expect you to like every song that he ever wrote?

It doesn´t have to be offencive to tell your oppinion. It´s democracy. As long as everbody keep a decent tone and calm down if upset.
I don´t use to play Brute Force that often. I Think the Music is a littlebit repeating. I do like the lyrics though.

I almost never play A million miles away, because it was played at his funeral. It´s a fantastic song but I get sad when I hear the lyrics...so it´s not that I don´t like it...

there are some rory songs that i don't consider that great but there aren't really songs that i think are bad. some of his weakest songs are still good.
I watched as fear took the old men's gaze
Hopes of the young in troubled graves
'I see no day' I heard him say
So grey is the face of every mortal
