I guess my go-to Rory song would be the one I took as my user name. "Maybe I Will" always suggests to me that true happiness can come from simple things and to regard each day as a brand new beginning.

For me it's always Cradle Rock!

For a long time it was always Shadow Play, but when I started listening to more of Rory especially his earlier stuff, my favourite changed to Hands Off and Laundromat. I love the covers as well like Messin' with the Kid, Bullfrog Blues, I Take What I Want, Tore Down he really made them his own. But if I ever wanted my spirits lifted it would have to be Shadow Play live in Belfast '84, probably one of his best gigs.

When i need to relax it has to be A Million Miles Away off Irish Tour '74,or Calling Card off BBC Sessions, when i need to be lifted up it has to be
Walk On Hot Coals ,also off Irish Tour '74.R.G was always at his best live.

For those times when I need something to take my mind off it all, this concert is one of my favorites, and although it has a wonderful version of Bullfrog Blues, this version of Bad Penny is my most favorite Rory go-to clip. He is just so very engaging there, I get lost just watching him play, him and that worn out old Strat. ;)

Watching him in this performance makes me forget everything else for a while. My 6 minute, 32 second vacation.
