It really depends on the song you know, and the tuning, in that picture it probably is the middle finger, c'ause i use the strat mainly for standart tuning.

I use it in the ring finger more often for open tuning. Open G or D.



Some bluegrass requires a lot of finger work and i'll use the little finger.

It's a Republic, it has a pickup (from a tele) but it was added later...

That's a beautifull guitar you got there... What is it...?

Its a 1942 National Collegian. I got it cheapish (from USA) because it was in a bad state. I got it fixed up over here last year. If I had done it the other way round, I would have got stiffed by import duty too much. The body is brass, which I've been told is because it was probably originally gonna be a style 'o'.
It sounds and plays great! ICONIC!

What about the Gibson Les Paul from 1959 in general? After all it is THE guitar everyone knows and recognises. That one sure is iconic!

How about Jimmy Page's Dragon Telecaster, a guitar full of mystery. Jimmy inherited the Tele when Jeff Beck departed the Yardbirds and he took over on lead guitar, a short while after he hand painted the Dragon and made a pick guard from reflective mylar. The guitar was used into the formation of Led Zepplin and featured on Led Zepplin 1 album. Some time after when Jimmy had gone over to a Les Paul as his main guitar, one of the road crew decided to "clean" up the Tele and took the paint off and possibly done some damage to the pick ups, needless to say Jimmy was not best please and felt the guitar just never sounded the same, so it was never used again thought he did take the neck off and used it on another Tele. He even mentioned that he still has the Dragon Tele in storage somewhere.
