Dock Street, Belfast (the derelict area in IT 74) has been completely rejuvenated and is the industrial heartland of the city, including the commencement of reconstruction of the new Titanic quarter on the site of the old dockyard where the Titanic cruise liner was originally built. The mill chimney (Thompsons Mill), which can be seen against the backdrop of Cave Hill, still stands as does the domed City Hall. Cave Hill, incidentally, is where Jonathan Swift based 'Gulliver's Travels' and, viewed from a distance, is reminiscent of a man in profile lying down! Belfast has been the focus of an extensive rebuilding programme and attracts many visitors. Ulster Hall too was recently renovated. Parts of York Street (complete with the 'foot clinic' ) were also demolished. Google maps (Street View) provide photographs of the above-mentioned areas.
