Im Gerry from Belfast
I first saw Rory Gallagher in Belfast in 1974 and saw him every year after that - always in Belfast and on most occassions all nights that he played
I am a guitarist because of Rory who in my opinion is simply the best guitarist that I have ever heard
I have just received the American album as a fathers day present and the live cd is incredible
On the studio album the version of Overnight bag and the electric version of Wheels within Wheels are superb with incredible lead work.
All that is missing now is a video of the San Francisco concert

I'm Ken from Brockton, MA. a few miles south of Boston. I "discovered" the great artistry of Rory in just recent months mainly due to the limited exposure his work seems to have had here in the US over the years, regretfully. Certainly was aware of his recognition but not nearly to the degree I've surely come to know and infinitely appreciate of late, thanks especially to YouTube. Thank God for the net!! I've become a devoted disciple of Rory's music and video, to the highest degree. Truly, one of the greatest guitarists that ever lived and certainly among my elite favorites along with Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Jeff Beck. I rate Rory as good as any of these men and I'm sure, as genuine a human being as he was a musician/artist!! Long live Rory!!!
