The looks can be a distraction. The 1st time I saw him my reactions in this order were a) what an amazing player, b) he's gorgeous. I have to remember to watch his hands and concentrate on his playing and not drool at him when I watch him on dvd. I have the same problem with Jimmy Page. I have to remember to respect Jimmy's playing and stop thinking about undressing him . Of course when listening to cds it's a lot easier to just concentrate on the playing. David Gilmour is another fantastic player, but I don't find him attractive, so that makes things easier. If I had seen Rory play live it would have been tricky to have been in the front row and remember it's all about the playing. would I have become a fan if Rory was ugly - sure I would have - but speaking as a red blooded female, it is nice that he was a good looking guy.

I know, I had a crush on Jimmy too but then I red about him and I thought I didn´t feel like being toghether with him anylonger

However, he is a great guitarist and he was cute when he was Young.

Very true, Suby. True of Rory, true of the famous, the infamous, and all the rest of us garden variety humans, even if we don't see it in ourselves. 8-)

The good, the bad, and the awful. By that definition, Rory was beautiful.
