This is exciting! A live clip of Taste I have never seen. I still don't know how to put the link here, perhaps the Mods can do it. Go to Youtube and type Taste Live at the Pop and Blues Festival-I Feel So Good. Milo Carr has just posted this rare gem. Too much close ups of Wilson's drums but why be picky. This is great to see. Peace.

Well, my excitement has cooled somewhat on viewing this clip again! It is all John Wilson with an occasional shot of the back of Rory's hand. A very happy dancing man in the crowd gets more screen time then Rory. Oh well, its better than nothing until the long looked for IOW. The audio is great though. Enjoy.

It's still quite a treat, we get a glimpse of a very young Rory and the video quality is in pretty good shape. I would like to go back in time, slap the cameraman and take it away and reshoot the video though, if I could go back in time.

No, wait, if i could go back in time . . . .

Hi all, havent logged on in a while because I frustrated myself watching teasers for Taste at the Isle of Wight and then bein unable to watch the whole thing. This clip is GRRREATTT!!! I also am a huge fan of John Wilsons drumming and Richard McCrackens Bass playing. As much as everyone complains about them I really think Wilsons drumming is insane. They play so well together, I just wonder why no one seems to really realise that Rory is exceptional yet there is a real magic with the other two in Taste also. Maybe because this is the Rory Gallagher forum  but I really love love Taste and their improv is stunning.

Welcome back Lou!

I do appreciate the clip, these rare gems that resurface from time to time. Wish they showed a bit more Rory though.

And I do feel the original lineup of Taste was also quite good, and who can really say that, without the interference of Rory's management at the time, the original Taste might have grown together into a really tight trio that went the distance and then some. Seems to me Rory's playing and leadership style would have taken the original line up just as far, and maybe farther, since management would have had a harder time pitting them against each other, being musicians that Rory picked out himself.

But we'll never know. :D

Thanks Cynthia, good to see you are doing an excellent job as moderator.

The camera work is really not too good here! Hope the can find the clip of Catfish from 1969, think it was at the Casino Montreux maybe. Cant get enough of Taste and Rory Gallagher. Watching Glastonbury Festival (on T.V) with the dire acts only wishing someone like Rory Gallagher could play up there, better yet Rory himself because there arent many like him, he was a complete and utter talent.
