Dream Team

Postby Annie Elliott » 24 Mar 2014, 11:12

Who would you like to see Rory perform with?

If I could put a dream trio together it would be:

Rory Gallagher, guitar (of course)
Jaco Pastorius, bass

Drums
Dave Grohl for the rockers - also Keith Moon would be fun to watch.
Sonny Greer for the jazzy stuff

Check out my man at about 2:22!

how about Rory on guitar and vocal, Michael Anthony bass and backing vocals(he knows how to work with great guitarists and can sing) and drums Neil Peart. they could use Iron Maiden's sound system(120,000+ watts).....yeh baby!

Anyone? Don't know how thrilled Rory would be with my selections, but, for bass, Jack Bruce, drums either Dave Grohl or Jack White, and for Rory to have fun with it,- John Lennon on rhythm and backup vocals, harmony, and to make him laugh.

interesting question. I think Rory Gallagher performing with AC/DC's Bon Scott or Rose Tattoo's Angry Anderson on vocals would have been a thrill.

I'll go for Phil Lynott on bass and sharing vocals, and John Bonham on drums. That would be a good power trio.
I like the Willie Dixon idea, maybe on his double bass for the acoustic set.

Rory with Dylan and Lennon- don't know about how the audience would feel, but I bet Rory would have a good time- 8-)

That would be a great collabo :D

But my line up would be bass : Tal Wilkenfeld, a brilliant and talented young girl that played with Jeff Beck for example, on drumms : Vinnie Appice o Jason Bonham so they compensate Tal jazzy's backgrounds
A quite eclectic line up though I have the feeling it could work.
