Very true. I normally do a book a week myself.
I wonder if he read Freud, Jung, Nietzsche, Satre, etc. I would love to see his whole book collection.

I am impressed of the high standard of his books. John Le Carre is not an author whose books you quickly skim through, I regard him as quite sophisticated. And several other of the books on the shelf are of good quality, none of the criminal-trash which seems so popular today. I'm shure he would have appreciated Michael Connelly's books about Harry Bosch.
It would have been interesting to discuss literature with him!
Irish authors, for example. This Lovely green country with all the pleasant people.
