I like John Wilson from Taste and Rod de'Ath best. I have a hard time figuring out where Ted McKenna is going sometimes but love his energy. Really they were all good but these are my favorites.

Lou Martin said that Rod was an ambidextrous drummer. As I haven't the faintest idea about drumming, I don't know what that means in the drumming world, but I do know Rod was a very busy drummer and he seemed to use longer drumsticks than any of the others.

According to Gerry McAvoy's book Rory had high expectations of the drummers he used in his group. If he demanded a more distinctive and better beat he would show that to the drummer.
Brendan O'Neill seems to be that kind of drummer.
And he eventually joined McAvoys new band.

As a drummer for three decades and Rory fan for over four decades..

I just spent about half an hour writing a great post with my opinion of this but unfortunately
I summited the post and it dissappeared?

I'll be back on this one with MHO.. Meanwhile..
