Solo from Tattoo'd Lady?

Postby JimLED » 20 Jul 2012, 21:48

Last time myself has watched and listened too many versions of Rory's Tattoo'd Lady....so, I think her solo from 0:34 is so close to solo from Tattoo'd Lady. The same harmony. What do you think?

Yes Jim, lovely and very good indeed. Great arpeggio playing like in final solo of Rory's Tattoo'd Lady

An arpeggio (plural arpeggi or arpeggios) is a musical technique where notes in a chord are played or sung in sequence, one after the other, rather than ringing out simultaneously. This word comes from the Italian word "arpeggiare", which means "to play on a harp." An alternate translation of this term is "broken chord." Formed from musical scales, the arpeggio is based on the relative scale playing the "key" notes or those affected by the key signature

I have an Italian friend who plays Rory music Riki Massini, he demonstrates this technique superbly when I took some video of him a few years ago now, playing Tattoo'd Lady..
I will put this video up on youtube and here shortly :)

No, Riki's band is Bonus Track. He did play together with Calling Card two years @ the Rory fest, never a member of CC..

The demonstration video of Riki's dexterity with this arpeggio technique. Will probably be from Riki playing along with Calling Card though :)
