How many of you have saving LPs on tape? I have a lot of reels and I prefer to save LPs on tape. Unfortunately, my vinyl collection is not too big and I can't able to myself to play Top Priority a handred times on turntable...

Good to see some others playing vinyl too.

No Jim, I don`t have that kind of tape recorder(reel to reel).
I do still make copys of vinyl onto cassette tapes for listening to in the car, truck, or at work on a portable player. But not all of them, just the ones I listen to alot.

finished:
Little Feat/Time Loves A Hero/1977
The first time I saw/heard Little Feat live was in September 1978 when they were promoting this album. I`ll never forget Paul Barrere`s shamming looks while singing Keeping Up With The Joneses, or Lowell`s size in those white coveralls. That night was one for my more memorable live shows.

just finished:
Little Feat/Let It Roll/1988
I saw them when they reformed with Craig Fuller, and made Fred Tackett an official member(he`s had credits since their first album in 1971), promoting their return and this album. Was totally amased at how well Craig`s voice replaced Lowell`s. That doesn`t happen very often.

just started:
Little Feat/Feats Don`t Fail Me Now/1974
My very favorite Little Feat Album through any and all lineup changes over nearly 40 years.

Getting geared up to see Paul and Fred`s acoustic duo show at 8:00 tonight !
Won`t be wearing a Rory shirt tonight, but my 2002 Feat shirt with the whole band`s autographs on it.
Hope to get a picture of me wearing it, standing between Fred and Paul.

Tonight it was:
Willie and the Poor Boys/no title/1985
Johnny Winter/And/1970
Muddy Waters/Rolling Stone/1983

now it`s Sun. Nov. 7 and I`m listening to:
Wet Willie/Dixie Rock/1975
Wet Willie/Keep On Smilin`/1974
Wet Willie/no title/1971
Wet Willie/The Wetter The Better/1976

Wet Willie was the opening act at the first concert I ever went to in 1974.
Jimmy Hall was the lead singer and harmonica player(and a couple other instruments too) for them. We got to see him come out for the enchore a little over a year ago when we went to Nashville to see the Allman Brothers Band and Widespread Panic. We/they always get good guest artists in Nashville.

Taj Mahal/The Natch`l Blues/1968
Bought this last year just before we saw him and Bonnie Raitt on the first show of their tour in Williamsport Pa.
Their stage was filled with vintage equiptment.....especially old Fender tube amps.

Got home at lunchtime and found my newest vinyl purchases in the mail:

Rory Gallagher/Seems To Me/No Peace For The Wicked/1987/7" 45rpm......now I`ve got two of them
Hill Country Revue/Raise Your Right Hand/Wild Horses/2010/7"45rpm.......first NEW 45 I`ve seen in YEARS !
This is one of Cody Dickinson`s other bands(besides North Mississippi Allstars).
His dad played keyboards on the Stones original recording of Wild Horses.

Last 3 things I listened to on Vinyl,

in order of last played:

> The White Album - The Beatles (whilst cleaning the house today)
> Riding With The King - B.B. King & Eric Clapton (painting my sitting room on saturday)
> Calling Card - Rory Gallagher (painting my sitting room on saturday)

I recently invested in a Tandberg reel to reel and let me tell you, it sounds fantastic. Last thing I listened to on it was the Sgt. Peppers album!!! ;)
