A Poem

Yes I'm a million miles away I'm a million miles away Sailing like a driftwood On a windy bay

A Poem

Then there is this-

A friend is ill. Life and Death ill
I don't know how to be a friend on a good day
I haven't a clue how to be a friend on such black days

Things that have a beginning, middle, and end:

books and songs
fairy tales and poems
dreams and nightmares

Things that have no beginning, middle, or end:

the soul

that essence that is inside us, the spark, the energy that fuels the life, is it that memory, the one that goes back to the earliest memory, of that spark of energy before you learned the gift of words.

that spark, that energy inside a person's very being, if you focus back to your earliest memory, that is the one. The earliest awarness of being at all. How far back does that kernel go?

Focus on that memory, on that earliest thought, I can't see a beginning. The spark within us always was?

Focus ahead to the end, I cannot imagine it. Can't see to the end. There is no end. The spark within us will always be?

Everything that seems to have a beginning a middle and an end, must at some point have a new beginning,

When I look back, I can't imagine the beginning
When I look forward, I cannot imagine the end

So, is that a limitation of my imagination?
Or, does it mean that really, there was no beginning and there is no end?

Etirnity is real,
As far back as history and science can take us. Eternity, infinitey is real.

The soul never ends. It changes form.

What of feelings? Do they have a beginning, a middle, and end?

Do they just change form

Change form for eternity?

So then,

Why do those changes cause such pain, saddness?

A friend is ill,
life and death ill
How do I say goodbye?
