Most of us "live fast/die young" types never expected to be here this long.
Dennis was one of my favorite anti-establishment heros.

I liked the man too, not just for Easy Rider but for all the other great films he was involved with. He was off centre and diferent and lived his life accordingly. Don't know about Rest In Peace Rick, I think he'll be roaring through hell at this very moment creating havoc and followed by Jim Morrison and Keith Moon on a tandem.

Cheers

You gotta great point there Mike.
Even being clean and sober for like 25 years didn`t slow him down much. He never was much good at taking orders either. You are also right about his other less noticed roles, which he was very good in like Hoosiers and Carried Away. Apocalypse Now was his real comeback role that reintroduced him to the masses. He looked genuinely moved, although in terrible health, when he got a star on the walk of fame in the past few months. I was glad to see that happen while he was still alive to witness it.

One unique individual, he was........Rick

just watching Palmer's doc about Cream's farewell concert 1968, extended edition on our national channel

Interesting to see Ginger showing his techniques...I have always regarded Ginger as one of the best drummers in rock music.

Jukka
Last night I watched "Marc Bolan: The final Word"..the documentary about his life and death..It's a miracle I saw it. It was the last showing. I just loved it! I've always loved Marc Bolan. I would buy his music sight on seen. "Light of love" album has all the band members autographs on the cover..yeah, I've met him a few times..
He also had an angelic impish face like Rory.

Hi Dwana,

I also liked Bolan's music, good music.

To the other matter:

I decided to write this to this thread:

I just sent an email to Finnish broadcasting company YLE, asking if they have recorded Rory's whole concert on
Ruisrock 1975 where this clip was taken http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vL1UsEFPMeE
If so, is it available to get somehow.

If I get any reply, you'll be the first to know

cheers, Jukka
