I do have an interest in Japanese Traditional culture and music. Reading the Memoirs of A Geisha by Arthur Golden and seeing the film has been mindblowing. Anyway here is Yagi playing a Japanese stringed instrument called the KOTO. I saw her on my birthday in March 2011. Absolutely amazing. I think she is playing Rouge here.

We also have the Japanese 3 stringed guitar called the Shamisen. Their pectrum are so HUGE!! Anyway the guitar was developed from the East. I will talk about the Indian Veena another time.

Then we have the Japanese Taiko drums. I missed one particular show in Hertfordshire cos I was not well. Anyway enjoy. Subratax They don't just play the drums they do it with dance and style. Wonderful. Mugenkyo are my favourite drummers.
