Rick, it is very cool you and your son and brother all dig the Mule! I do know Mike Barnes very well, I took a lot of music theory lessons from him at Musicians Workshop. Warren has said Mike Barnes is the best guitarist he knew. Mike has been apart of every X-Mas Jam, I think the very first one was in Mike's parents basement. My very first one was the 2nd or 3rd X-Mas Jam at a club called 45 Cherry. I have been to almost all of them. I am going to see Warren this coming Friday in Chattanooga, I moved to Chattanooga a few years ago, I miss Asheville very very much.

My brother turned me on to MULE about 2 years before Woody`s death.
Unfortunately, I never got to see Woody.
Never saw Warren perform until 2003.
Now I`ve seen him nearly 20 times.....solo, Gov`t Mule, Allman Brothers, The Dead, Warren Haynes Band, Christmas Jam.
He never disappoints me.

I asked you if you knew Mike, to make sure you weren`t him.
I`ve been talking alot of Rory on the Mule site with other Rory fans on there.

My brother gets to Chattanooga quite a bit.
He likes to go up the mountain where you can see a few states from.
He lives in Nashville.
I have alot of family in Knoxville.
My Dad grew up in Rogersville, just soth of Bristol.
My neice goes to Old Miss in Oxford Miss. too.

Maybe we`ll meet at Xmas Jam some year !
Enjoy the Warren Haynes Band !

Best Wishes, Rick

Woody was a fabulous musician, I think the Dose album is a great example of Woody's prowess. He was a great guy also, always had time for people. Same with Matt, just great guys. I have never met the guys who came in after Woody passed.

Hi TT,

I guess it's up to Rick...and as far as I can see it, it's more up to mods...I think Rick can't log in at the moment...
