I grew up in New Orleans and this man was just a mega star then.. we all knew and loved him. When I was in high school.
One day while walking to the French Quarter, I realized he was walking near me on the same street. I looked at him and
said "Hello" I knew who he was and he responded in kind "Hello". He was holding a guitar case at the time. I must've been
15 or 16 at the time. I had nothing on me at the time to get his autograph.
We lost so many musicians and actors since 2016 and now it's continuing. The best of the best has been lost to us.
To Antoine "Fats" Domino.. walk on into paradise up to
"Blue Berry Hill" I heard something on "Dish Nation" (a show about
high profile celebrities that Elvis Presley said "Fats Domino was the real king of Rock and Roll") I had no clue about that
particular quote from him. I have a permanent wounded soul that will never heal..
