Can't believe this...two gone in 2 days???? Lonnie Mack was such a huge influence on many guitarists, especially here is the states. I'm not sure how well he was known overseas.

Here is one of my favorites, please give it a listen. Sorry, I still don't know how to download actual videos.

Here is the obituary from Guitar World, if you're not familiar with Lonnie, it gives a great capsule of his history:

R.I.P. No I had never heard of Lonnie Mack until now Ciaseattle. Thank you very much for this. It's really great. I liked this one too from 1963

Do you think Rory knew of him? I'm sure he must have.

I also still don't know how to put videos up :)

It's unbelievable, isn't it. I saw Lonnie play at a dive roadhouse deep in the heart of George (I forget exactly where) back in the 80s and it was tremendous.

Nice video, Capo! There's some great ones on YouTube of Lonnie with Stevie Ray as well. I always wondered how SRV could play like he did with all those rings on his fingers.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIeZSUevSuc Now I got it right! As I was saying, CiaSeattle you picked my favorite Mack song "Stop"! Theres a killer version on the live cd I have of his called "Attack Of The Killer V". Here is a video taken at Carnagie Hall in 1985. All three of these giants all gone now; Albert, Lonnie and Roy. Enjoy.
