Paco de Lucía

Paco de Lucía died today, a maestro of flamenco has left us but his music will last forever.
He opened the concert halls to the flamenco guitar.
Man of few words but who cares, he spoke through his music

This is a very famous piece by three amazing guitarists : Paco de Lucía, Al Di Meola and John McLaughin

And this other one is pure FLAMENCO, a type of rhythm named Bulería.
When Camarón de la Isla , the singer of this clip, passed away Paco de Lucía couldn't make a gig for more than a year so close they were

Ladies & Gentlemen Al cante Camarón y al toque Paco de Lucía

Roberta this is another of its many facets Flamenco fussion, flutist Jorge Pardo, is an old friend of mine and this year he was given the award for best European jazz musician

Paco was like Rory a private person and he also wasn't going to the vagaries of marketing

Hope you enjoy this old piece

Ps.- Paco also played at the Teatro Monumental (Madrid) during 1975 like Rory, and in both cases these concerts were awesome.
Who knows ? maybe they're sharing memories or even jamming :D
