Broken neck?

Well, that song she's humming, could make my guitar start strumming?

Look at photo. There you will see the crack at 15-16 frets of the neck. It'll be nice to hear the story! Or this story be about the same magic things we heard like a vanished guitar paints and type of Rory's blood? :)

Is that a crack in the neck or just an optical illusion? I know that guitar was worked harder than just about any other working musician's instrument, but a crack in that part of the neck, I would think that the neck would need replacement, and I thought The Strat still had its original neck?

No cracks in the neck Jim..
It's a discrepancy in the photo.. you can see the same effect on the horn of Rory's strat in two places too

Ah lads, it's drops of sweat from Rory's hair.... you might notice the wet strands of hair are directly above the marks on the guitar .

I had never seen this photo before and am very sure that the neck was never broken. I am aware that over the years that Rory used two necks on the strat. He would switch necks back and fourth and often using new for up to 6 months. Because we have all seen how hard he worked apparently the wood would absorb perspiration causing frets to shift. After switching necks he would let them dry our completely and have any fret work if needed done.

Hello. Patrick! Two necks? How about the point at 12th fret at original? He did the same thing for another neck?

I am assuming you are asking about the 12th Fret Marker being Plastic. That was done on the second neck anhd not on the original. Sorry the images posted here are huge but its so you can see them clearly.
