When did Rory give this interview?

By the way, to me the guy on the cover also looks like Ritchie Blackmore just as in 1973...similar stage, same haircut.

It must be Rory - its his guitar! Blackmore's guitars were darker, and had a whammy bar anyway.
It does look Blackmore though, especially with all those fake looking cabs ready to shove a guitar into.

The cover photo IS Rory at Hammersmith Odeon - the night of the hurricane in London (1980's).
Lemmy was in the audience.
I took the photograph - I also produced the Strat Masters and [later] Telecaster Twang follow up.
I also conducted the interview with Rory at Nomis, London - and interviewed Mitch Mitchell on the same day.
I was friends with Rory until his untimely death - and I wrote his obituary for Guitarist Magazine.
There will NEVER be another Rory Gallagher - he was unique, and I miss him terribly.
He came to stay in my home town in North Wales with his 'new' band - and we did a gig together.
Dónal and I arranged a club in the seafront - the gig sold out within minutes!
