to be honest, that was pretty much a chance find, I was looking for something completely different and it took me quite a while to realise what that house reminded me of ;)

Great photos. The house in Cork City where Rory`s and Donal`s mother lived doesn`t exist anymore. That fact was in the former Meeting Place years ago reported. Now it`s a B&B-hotel (www.douglascorkbandb.com). As far as I know have they build the hotel on the estate that formerly owned by
Rory for his Mom. Correct me if I`m wrong.

The house in the city centre of Cork (as shown in Irish Tour) still exists. The house on Well Road was demolished and further new properties were built on that site. It was not at the site of the guest house as mentioned above on Douglas Road.

The Sidney Park property has been for sale for a considerable time, no doubt affected by the slump in the property market in Ireland.

After my trip this April all around Ireland, my hosts at the Cork B&B asked if I could post a comment on Trip Advisor (http://www.tripadvisor.com/) Look for Mariaville House in the search box!! Barry is a great host AND Rory fan!

Also, now in the search box - at my requests - are four Rory site you can post comments and photos.
Just enter - Rory Gallagher and all four should come up. Post your own comments and photos!!

Statue in Ballyshannon
Music Library in Cork
Rory Gallagher Place in Cork
Gravesite in St Oliver's
Thanks!! ss
