Hi, there's a map on this agent's site showing the location of Coolfadda House. https://www.daft.ie/cork/houses-for-sal ... k-1790918/
The location is Douglas Road, Cork T12 TP90. On Google maps, go north-west along Douglas Road from the Douglas Court Shopping Centre until you come to Rosebank. Coolfadda House is then not far west of Rosebank, on the south side of Douglas Road. Coolfadda house is set well back from the road, with a long narrow driveway entrance from Douglas Road to the house itself. (There's another house sitting between Coolfadda House and Douglas Road.) You can identify Coolfadda House quite easily. The roof of the main part of the house has red tiles and there is a very long south-facing garden. The house itself faces south.
(As far as I know, the single storey extension to the house (the part at the back of the house with the flat roof) was built after Rory's mother sold the house, when it became a B&B for a while.)
Bonne chance!

Thank you, zanny!
Here's it. You can't see it from the road.

Thanks, JimLED.

Coolfadda House is definitely the location of the Macroom film interview. But I'm not sure that the photo of Rory at the piano was taken in the dining room.
Photo 7 of the dining room on the agent's website shows a fireplace on the 'opposite' wall.

Other photos taken at Coolfadda House in 1977 show Rory in front of a piano in what seems to be a smaller living room, with a door to the right of the piano and what looks to be the same wallpaper as now. http://www.roryon.com/handbook370.html
This smaller living room is shown in photos 11 and 12 on the agent's website.

Kind regards,
zanny

Coolfadda House is still on the market at the same asking price after 5 months.
Here's a link to some recent information that mentions details about Greenbanks, the Gallaghers' subsequent home off Well Road, Douglas, Cork. (Sadly, the 1930s house was demolished after the property was sold in 2005 after Rory's mother Monica's death. There's a housing development (also called Greenbanks) on the site now.)

If you're looking for the location of Greenbanks on Google Maps, it's on the eastern side of Well Road, Douglas, directly opposite Ardmahon Estate. The property backs onto the River Lee estuary.
