I think he should have continued touring with saxophones, keyboard/piano besides a good basist and excellent drummer (absolutely Brendan O'Neill), like in the Loreley recording. But perhaps expensive, Maybe he wasn't paid as much as groups aret today.

Everything is so enhanced with the backing musicians. Just listen to Nadine. A wall of music in the background. Phil Spector? Or Little Richard, whom I had the pleasure to experience at the Wembley Arena. He had a heavy background set-up which made his whole concert an excellent experience!

With all the musicians involved I wonder how much and where they practised before they commenced the tour 1982 ?
The were all professionals so it probably didn't take to long. Any documentation regarding this ?

To Bronyr and M. Felix. That Rockpalast Cologne show WDR Studios is from 76. That's the one the acoustic set is on. He's very tired here. He's struggling with the heat from the lights in the studio. He keeps wiping his forehead and even makes a funny remark (get the stretcher) at the end of one of the numbers. It was quite a tough set he played and also with the band. This is the one that the 76 interview is from and by that time he is completely exhausted. I think if you watch the whole gig you can understand why.

He shows, in putting up with the inane questions, after a grueling day of performing, with patience and class, what a gentleman and pro he was. I would have snapped! But that was Rory. All class.

These shows could be launched, go through remastering the images and sound, for those who have never seen Rory live these shows are a good opportunity.

1982 is still one of the best. The addition of piano/keybords and saxophones was an excellent idea!
Just listen to the compact heavy background on "Nadine".
Unfortunately I have a problem with my Harman-Kardon, but I will fix it and listen to it all with a 200W subwoofer. That's when you really can evaluate the base and background. The base should give a physical feeling in your body!

Were they too expensive or did Rory eventually prefer a band of three musicians?

Listen to Bad Penny, one of the best versions ever.
The guitar intro is superb, there is a very short part of it where the sound is absolute outstanding when Rory bends the strings.

Hey, what happened on Youtube? The Loreley concert is not available any more.
Windows 10 and CyberLink Power DVD 14 don't agree on my computer, so I cannot play this DVD anymore?
But I have a brand new Laptop, but not ready yet.

Well, this one seems to be working for the moment, at least here in Oregon. But who knows for how long? YouTube has eagerly been taking things down. Very shortsighted, these You Tube clips do a great service for getting the word spread about different artists. And how many new fans has Rory won these past few years because someone saw him on YouTube?

Tom, let me know if this one works for you?
