maybiwill, you are correct, just because something is in print or on the internet doesn't make it true, BUT, if a person writes something, or even pays someone else to write something for them, and knowingly signs their own name to it, be it a book, a letter to one or more people, or a statement that the author knowingly offers up on an internet forum for all to read, and it is not true, and knows it is not true, then until that person retracts it or apologizes for it the shadow falls on them.

You are completely correct on that fact, Roberta Sparrow! I guess the upshot is: Don't say anything you might regret later on and/or don't say things that you know aren't true because they may come back and bite you in the backside in the future!
