when I'm talking about Rory to people, most never know who he is, and I tell them he's got statues in Ireland and he's been on a stamp over there and he's a national hero for playing in Belfast during the troubles. Will be great to get another statue. I have a french friend and she knew who Rory was because she lives in Paris and there's a street named after him.
RORY certainly deserves to be honored in Belfast with a statue.. As he was a musical hero to the folk in the north of Ireland, at the height of their terrible troubles throughout the 1970's. RORY playing to 2000 overjoyed fans at sellout Ulster Hall in 1972.
