Directors for a Rory-inspired crime story?

Postby RobertaSparrow » 23 Sep 2013, 16:19

I was reading Daniel's interview-

I could see where Rory's lyrics could provide the inspiration for a wealth of material for a crime/mystery/thriller movie or story.

I think a good script-writer director for such a treatment would be Quentin Tarantino, except Rory wasn't much of a fan of the rough language, but Tarantino has a real knack for fleshing out villainous anti-heor types, as in Pulp Fiction or Kill Bill. Another would be the Coen brothers- they do an excellent crime drama- they take turns, one does the storyline/screenplay and the other does the directing- examples: Blood Simple, No Country For Old Men, Fargo. David Lynch does some good crime/thriller flicks but he tends to go nightmarish-
