[quote="Flamenca"]Come on people! When Rory lived in Cork, it was with his Mum, in their home. Why would he live somewhere else when staying in Cork? The house has another wing on the right side facing it. You can just see the wall on the photo. My best guess is that it was a roomy home and they both had their own spaces within it. Rory probably spent a lot of time in his piano/music room on the front left, facing the photo, and his mum pottered around doing 'mum things' with her own parlour for tea and biscuits, and nattering with visiting friends and family. :D

Bibi knows where it is because she wrote a comment on Facebook about how the house was sold to developers to build luxury flats by the beach. The house is currently dilapidated as the developers have now gone bust and never moved forward with the development. You can probably find it on Google maps if anyone cares to research further ...

That's a shame that the house has fallen into disrepair. To be demolished? To bad, it looks like a nice little house. Too bad it can't be restored or moved elsewhere.

Ah the music shop is in Soho Square in the Macroom video? Thought it looked familiar with the parking out the back window and the trees there is still a music shop there but not the same one?

Just realised why it was next door to CBS Records ... a group company, so they must have been sharing the lease. Fender company was sold to CBS in 1965 ...

Where is the tower?

Looks like an old beach watch tower to look out for pirates or invaders ... but I may be wrong ...

Yes that probably wouldn't be part of the house! Is the man next to Donal their uncle?

Is that Rory's mom's dog? Looks like a Sheltie or border collie?

There is a picture of the same dog in Marcus Connaughton's book where Rory and his mother are sitting on a porch (p.94), must be his mother's dog. It looks like a cross between a red setter and a collie.

One note!

At Macroom video we can see the dog outside. Have you any thought?
