This so EXCITING!!!!! I was recently reading Oliver Tobin book A Star Was Born in My Brother's Band and I was telling Susie of Seafieldfoxes "I wonder if there are any early recordings of RG from his showband days". Oliver Tobin said "Merry Ploughboy" that Rory recorded could be somewhere and Donal Gallagher said in the Dan Muise book that he had "You Fool Me All The Time" on acetate. This is such a treasure trove for all Rory fans. I am very pleased!! You can hear the young Rory clearly and he is brilliant. Even in the passport photo his guitar ( the love of his life) is in his hands!! I always thought he looked like a young John Lennon. Oliver Tobin played bass with Rory in The Fontana and Impact showband. This is just brilliant. Its really made my day! Thankyou very much. Subrata.x
