Postby AnnaMaria » 17 Oct 2014, 15:29

I´ve been playing it the whole day. It´s on Spotify. Was it really today it would be released?
Having a bad flu so I might be more Dizzy than usual.

Hope you get well Anna Maria. I have had a hell week due to flu  I got vaccinated with the flu vaccine and then developed flu. I have had sinus problems, cough, sneezing, watery eyes, joint pain, rash, vomiting, sore throat, diarrhoea and to top it off I have PMT and its my time of month. Been stressed with work and headaches. I am off work but I will get through this. I am tough woman that's for sure. My whole family has flu too. Anyway RGs music cheers me up. Get well soon. Oh Suby, that sounds really terrible. I really hope you are getting well soon. I´m off at work too. Nobody wants me in their closeness anyway. Sore throat, fever, running eyes and nose, snezzing and I certanly sound like a fog-horn. Last night I missed my ridinglesson and tonight I am missing "This is Lizzy" where one of my clients is playing the drums. I am so angry  and I´m on the period too  I think we have managed to sync our hormones over the net here. A lot of get-well hugs to you Suby!

Anybody else with a flu?....no?

Anyway, at last I got to hear the uncut version of "Hands off"! :D

Thanks Anna Maria. I hear Rory's Shinkicker song when I am down in the dumps. He cheers me up. Such a positive and uplifting song. Being off works means I am reading books, writing and listening to Rory's songs. So it can't be all that bad for me. Anyone else who has flu on this board I send you healing and love. Let's Shinkick this flu out of the door. That's what I say Anna. I will register on spotify. Never used it before. Subrata.x. I am sorry to hear Anna that your missing your activities. Apart from work I like going to yoga, literature events etc. Luckily I had nothing planned this week. I was in Holland Barratts and was thinking of drinking detox tea etc. Sometimes the body needs detoxing and destressing. Well the flu seems to have done that. Our physical bodies are amazing. I watched as fear took the old men's gaze
Hopes of the young in troubled graves
'I see no day' I heard him say
So grey is the face of every mortal

Just got the new box, nineteen seventy four,
I can't help but feel like I've bought this before,
It's got extra content, they found in the vault,
That there's always some left can be nobody's fault,
Some folks may complain, but it's not fair to bash,
The honourable trade of remasters, rehash.

The sound it gets better with every release,
Negating the need for my ancient CDs,
I guess Rory never would consider ample,
Anything less than 16 bits per sample,
Now Irish Tour vinyl lies dusty on shelves,
Even the re-release from two thousand and twelve.

It's hard to keep track of which ones I should play,
Because my collection grows bigger each day,
Cardboard sleeves, plastic sleeves, various covers,
Extra tracks, remixes, much to discover,
I love them all equal, not one will I shirk,
Even the version from "Let's Go To Work"

I guess memories must move on with the times,
Like a best-of disguised as an album of crime,
But with each new remaster I really do wonder,
How Rory made so many audio blunders,
But bottom line buying this set was my choice,
Now I wonder if next time they'll fix Rory's voice.
