(RORY NEWS) ~ MORE TASTE LIVE @ The Isle of Wight

Who's that calling way out there? I've got your signal loud and clear

(RORY NEWS) ~ MORE TASTE LIVE @ The Isle of Wight

Postby Jay Jay » 28 Jun 2011, 13:16

Great news for Rory & Taste fans ..

Daniel Gallagher has told me there is an extra 2 tracks on the master tapes of TASTE Live @ The Isle Of Wight 1970..
This is more film footage and song tracks compared to what Daniel first thought and told us in Q&A last year of 8.
Hopefully this is more reason now for all concerned striking a deal, on the release of this long awaited Taste Live DVD ;)

PS. Not sure now whether Daniel is referring to the film footage or just the audio master tapes??

Regarding the Isle Of Wight, just thought I'd add that I dug the master tapes out and the set is actually 10 tracks.

Whats Going On
Sugar Mama
Morning Sun
Gamblin’ Blues
Sinner Boy
I’ll Remember
Feel So Good
Catfish
Same Old Story
Blister On The Moon

Though what order they were performed in I'm not sure yet.

Daniel

What great news...here's hoping it all pans out. Just the thought of getting to see the whole gig makes me weak in the knees.

GREAT NEWS guy's!. Wot i would like to see released would be if POYLDOR re-released TASTE: LIVE AT THE ISLE of WIGHT as a super DELUXE EDITION DOUBLE CD like they have done previously with 'loads' of other artist's & bands, something that i could see happening one day (soon hopefully?).

Infact i would like to see TASTE & ON THE BOARDS re-released as both DELUXE EDITION DOUBLE CDs with the original albums re-mastered with a bonus disc of previously UN-RELEASED material included!.

I also remember reading that TASTE performed 7-encores!!. That must be INCORRECT i have read that it was 5-encores on this forum and in another book as well but i can't believe that it was 7-ENCORES!!.

Apologies guys & girls if I mislead you here ..

I'm awaiting confirmation from Daniel. Because he maybe only be referring to the audio master tape song tracks?

Even so there are only 6 songs on the Taste Live @ Isle of Wight original album ..

10 songs on a new album would be a 40% Rory bonus wouldn't it :)

Yes Jim, there would be four additional tracks compared to the original Taste Live @ The Isle Of Wight LP or CD being these songs ..

Gamblin’ Blues
I’ll Remember
Same Old Story
Blister On The Moon

I'm still awaiting confirmation from Daniel if he meant the AUDIO master tapes or the FILM footage master tapes??
