I'll always remember going to this Rory gig..
Firstly, because after about 3 songs Rory stopped and paid tribute to Roy Orbison who had passed away. He did so saying a few words and playing the Pretty Woman riff a few times
Secondly, I got Rory's attention front stage as I was shouting for a request of Overnight Bag. He came over and had a little chat. Smiling and saying sorry he could not play that request and at the same time gesturing with his fingers. Sort of saying that he was not quite up for it

What a great story. Rory really was so cool. I think that Overnight Bag takes song extra finger picking action. His hands were war torn at the time maybe. Playing that guitar for a living as he did takes its toll heavy. I presume because as a mechanic, I've had my hand issues and its getiing harder as I get older. 47 next year, so soon.............
