I saw him at the Bottom Line in November '78(I don't remember if it was the 10th or 11th, I'd have to look for the ticked stub). At 16 a fake ID got me into the show. ;o) It was a killer show I should say. I sat about 10 feet from the stage, catching eye contact w/Rory several times. He probably was thinking what the hell is this youngster doing in the bar. It was a great guitar lesson for me since I had taken up guitar just the year before. Also taught me how to put on an intense performance, he killed it that night. I still learn from his records, but miss the performances immensely where he was in his element. My band just added Tattoo'd Lady & Secret Agent to our set list, would really like to add Messin' with the Kid also.
