9/5/1979 I was at the Bottom LIne to see Rory at the late show. I used a fake ID to get in with my buddy since I was only 17 at the time. It was an incredible show that left a lasting impression and made me a lifelong fan.

I also saw him at the Bottom Line in November '78. Again, at 16 a fake ID got me into the show. ;o) Oh, it was a killer show also. I sat about 10 feet from the stage. It was a great guitar lesson for me, since I had just taken up guitar the year before. Also taught me about putting on an intense performance. Miss having Rory around to still teach me about guitar all these years later. I still do learn from his records though, but miss the performances immensely when he was in his element.

Thanks leftyaxeman :) Great post :)
Inspired by RORY. Like so many other up and coming guitarists were at this time. Where RORY was at his peak and electrifying best IMHO

Rock On for Rory

Thanks Jay Jay & totally agree, he was at his peak for these shows. Still to this day, among the most memorable shows I've attended.
