8/15 or 8/16 1979 Rory graced St. Louis Mo. at Mississippi Nights. i know this because my son was born on the 15th and i left the hospital after my wife and son were settled in and went to enjoy the show. I actually jumped up on stage and gave the man a big hug. never have done that before or since. Barre-none, He will always be my all time favorite

Yes gmann77, I know that feeling. Rory had that sort of charisma and presence upon his audiences on stage, to make you want to get up on there and hug & kiss him..

I wish when I got up on stage once also myself at a gig, I would have kissed our hero. For me it was only a handshake at the time in 1977

We have seen a lot of fans who made a jumps on the Rory's stage...
like the guy at this clip:

When I see this and other moments with a huge hugs fans on stage I'm always have a thoughts what Rory did feel in such great moments?
Sometime it seems he lost control for a while..
