This Day in Rory History 24 March

I wanna cause no trouble, no fuss, no fight. But look out man you know this is Saturday night

All week I've been noticing the "Colonial Tavern, Toronto," dates. I live in Toronto, although I didn't move here until the year after Rory's passing. I looked it up - it turns out the Colonial Tavern was about 40 feet from the building where I am sitting right now. Lots of bluesmen played there, including Rory's hero Muddy Waters. Where it was is now an empty lot. Strange feeling.

He also played El Mocambo many times - I can never walk by it without thinking of Rory. So I suspect I'll have the same feeling when I pass by the vacant lot!

Why is this being posted again? Surely it makes more sense to just bump the 24 March thread from last year rather than create a new one each year???

These threads seem to have started on 3 March of last year so have only been duplicated for three weeks or so. I'm guessing it had slipped your mind exactly when they had started, yeah? ;o)
