Great full size picture on front cover with name in large letters.
7 page article on the Taste years and then going solo. (40 years since Rory went solo in 1971).
3 page article on Notes From San Francisco.
4 page workshop article 'Play like Rory' with 12 guitar tab examples of Rory's slide style, fingerpicking and soloing methods.
Plenty of pictures within the articles.

great news! i hope someone will post scans
I watched as fear took the old men's gaze
Hopes of the young in troubled graves
'I see no day' I heard him say
So grey is the face of every mortal

Thanks fenderbass, I'll get that issue so.I switched from G and B to guitarist a couple of years ago.

A friend of mine has taken up bass a few months ago and we jam together one night a week, he rekons Gerry's playing is fairly straight up and handy enough to play, but thinks Noel Reading is workin very hard with Jimi.....what do you think?

Hi mac,
I tend to buy one or two mags each month. Usually a guitar one and the other usually Classic Rock or something like that. Depends what the content is.
Great to see Guitar and Bass feature Rory. They did a really good feature on Rory in July 2005, 13 pages with great pics of Rory's main guitars.
I've been playing bass in a Rory tribute band for about 5 years now and I suppose Gerry's bass playing is pretty straightforward. Each time we practice a new song there is always something new to learn from it. Most of the time he sticks on the root note and fills in with riffs to suit the song. Gerry is a solid player and locks into the drums with no effort but at the same time, especially in a live situation, he can follow the groove when Rory decides to veer off from the recorded version.
We only do a handful of bookings each year with the Rory band so the rest of the time I play bass with a band doing classic rock covers. We do Purple Haze and Watchtower. Again, Noel Redding is a solid player, although on Watchtower there's a fair bit bass going on during Jimi's solos.
